Store Listing and Verification Policy

Free listing, verification methods, rejection and reconsideration procedures.

Listing model

Basic store listings are free. Payment does not secure publication or an organic-ranking advantage. An owner, company officer, employee or authorised representative may submit a listing, but their connection to the business must be verifiable.

Verification methods

One or more methods may be used without collecting unnecessary personal data.

  • A verification call to a publicly listed phone number
  • A corporate email link
  • An official website or social-media account
  • Matching against a public business record
  • A current photo showing the sign and address
  • Only when necessary, an authority or business document with irrelevant fields redacted

Verification documents

Documents are accessible only to authorised administrators, are never published on the public profile, and are deleted under the retention plan once they are no longer needed.

Verified business

Verification means that selected contact or representation details were checked using the stated method. It is not a guarantee of product quality, customer satisfaction, reliability, legal compliance or a GrowShop recommendation.

A verification badge is not sold as a paid feature.

Rejection and reconsideration

The applicant is told the rejection reason and may correct the submission or request reconsideration. Private administrator notes are not shared; the decision is recorded in the audit log.
